More Online scams infiltrate Facebook.

A message claiming to show a “shocking video” of a teacher beating the snot out of a student is spreading virally on Facebook. When users click on this link in a friends status update, which reads:  “I am shocked!!! I’m NEVER texting AGAIN since I found this out. Video here: (following link not working)https://bit.ly/c4SDyh – Worldwide scandal!” they will be taken to page asking them to allow the application. The user is then prompted to fill out surveys – designed to steal your personal information – before you can watch the video.

The standard advice is to never click on a suspicious link and don’t give out your personal information. If you’ve been sucker punched by one of these rouge Facebook applications, watch the video below explaining how to remove the app(s).
