Twitter is considering introducing pages for brands just like Facebook, according to social media industry reports.
The intiative is being lead by Twitter CEO Dick Costolo and President of Revenue Adam Bain to give brands their own page on Tiwtter, reported Marketing Magazine.
A brand page could give businesses an oportunity to deliver content to consumers and encourage them to follow.
“Any launch of branded pages would roll out first in the US. Twitter launched its first ads on the platform in the US in April 2010, where its partners include Starbucks, but has yet to offer such opportunities in the UK.” – Marketing Magazine
