BlackBerry continued to lose ground to Google Android in the battle for smartphone market share in the first quarter of 2011, according to comScore.
Which smartphone operating system do you prefer? Are you a Mac or an Android?
Android surpassed RIM’s Blackberry OS in January when it garnered 31.2 percent of the market to become the top smartphone platform in the U.S. for the first time.
Blackberry fell from 31.6 percent in Dec. 2010 to 27.1 percent in March 2011
Google Android now holds more than a third of the U.S. smartphone market.
Apple’s iOS gained a half of one percent in market share, proving the iPhone is still maintaining its hold on devout Apple fans.
It appears Google and Apple may continue to siphon market share away from Blackberry, but we’ll have to wait and see.
