Many people are familiar with the artistic license Google takes with its own logo.
Today is no exception. However, many of us are a little perplexed as to what the logo means. You can’t click on it to find out either, and you might as well give up trying. Composed of several animated dots, whenever a user hovers their mouse pointer over the logo, the dots disperse to avoid it.
Some people are speculating that today’s crazy animated Google logo corresponds with the 12th anniversary of the search engine giant’s founding.
It’s not the first animated logo Google’s created. The first one came 8 months ago when Google celebrated Sir Issac Newton’s birthday by animating an apple falling from a tree.
A few months ago, Google users were treated to a fully-functional Google-shaped Pac-Man game to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the arcade hit. Certainly, the logo hit resulted in hours of worker’s lost productivity.
