I recently gained a PPC client in the LinkedIn space and wanted to track paid traffic in Google Analytics. LinkedIn and other social media platforms do not have “auto tagging” like Google does, so you must manually tag your landing pages in order to see the data in Google Analytics. I used the Google Analytics URL Builder tool to create my tag at:

The fields with * are mandatory fields. Once all mandatory fields are entered and you hit Generate URL, you will have the new landing page URL to use in your ad to start tracking in Google Analytics. It will look like this:
This URL builder can be used within any landing page and platform to track in Google Analytics, but I used it in this example for my LinkedIn PPC campaign.
